You can either locate the test available from your own state, or use resources from other states, like the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) and the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS).
The Texas Education Agency's Released Tests and Study Guides
Many states have free sample problems and released tests available on their board of education websites. If you can't find free tests on your state's site, you can use the released 2009 3rd grade TAKS tests from the archives of the Texas Education Agency. The TAKS is based on typical core curriculum standards for the 3rd grade and can be either viewed online or downloaded as a PDF file. These released exams are available both in English and Spanish.
