3rd Grade CRCT Practice Tests

Most students in grade 1-8 in the state of Georgia must take the CRCT (Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests), which are used to assess specific skills based on Georgia's performance standards. Students in 3rd grade are tested in English/language arts, math, reading, social studies and science. Read on for information about practice test you can use to help your child succeed.

Tests and Study Guides from the Georgia Department of Education

At the Georgia Department of Education's website, you can download a 3rd grade study guide at no charge in a standard PDF format. Alternatively, you can simply view it online. The guide shows the specific skills tested on the CRCT.

Georgia schools use the Online Assessment System to practice for the CRCT. Schools assign children a specific login and password to access the system. If you want to see some 3rd grade CRCT practice tests, you can log on to the Online Assessment System. If your child doesn't have a school-assigned login, you can use 'Grade3' as the login and password.

Once you log in, you will see the practice tests that your child can take online. For each subject, there are several tests to choose from, so your child will be able to take several exams if necessary.

Practice Resources from Rabun County Elementary School

You can find additional CRCT practice questions for third grade at the Rabun County Elementary School website. Rhonda Henson is an educational specialist who put it together using the Georgia Department of Education as a source. There are four quizzes in each CRCT subject, which are available as PDF files. These practice quizzes were originally provided by the Georgia Department of Education.

Unity Grove Elementary School's Practice Questions

Unity Grove Elementary School's website provides a number of practice questions in all the subjects that your 3rd grader needs. Each subject is divided into multiple subsections to help you locate the exact skill your child needs to practice. The social studies section, for example, is categorized into subsections for core skills, civics, geography, economics and history. These 25-question tests were developed based on the Georgia CRCT Online delivery site developed by the district.
