The Texas Education Agency's Study Guides and Practice Tests

The Texas Education Agency offers a variety of study resources and study guides for the 5th grade TAKS test. You can download and print the study guides in a PDF format or view them in your browser. TAKS Practice and Preparation from McGraw-Hill Companies

McGraw-Hill offers online TAKS practice questions. This site provides a simple and easy way that your child can run through practice questions and answers online.

First, you pick the unit and level that you want your child to practice. In this case, the unit you'd pick would be 'Reading Level 5'. You can then pick from a total of ten different practice assessments in which your child will read a passage and then answer a series of ten multiple-choice questions. After completing the assessment, your child's answers are instantly graded online.
