This Australian young adult novel centers on teens Kate Warren and Jarrod Thornton. Both have paranormal powers that need to be carefully controlled. Kate works to help Jarrod internalize his unusual abilities, which requires traveling back to the Middle Ages to deal with a curse that was placed on his family.
