If your child is in first through eighth grade, then these free, printable worksheets can help increase his comprehension skills. The worksheets contain fiction or nonfiction reading passages, followed by multiple-choice and short answer comprehension questions. Answer keys are provided with each worksheet so you can check your child's answers and look for patterns in the types of questions he answered incorrectly. Additionally, if your child could use extra writing practice, look for the worksheets that contain an essay question or writing prompt.

Perfect for middle school students, the reading comprehension worksheets available here are specifically designed for kids in fourth through eighth grade. The worksheets aren't labeled by grade level because the type of worksheet you choose will depend on your child's ability level.
