Free 7th Grade Worksheets
Frequency and consistency are the most important aspects when learning a new topic. Help your 7th grader by providing him or her with extra practice worksheets at home. Explore the following sites to find the free worksheet that will best suit your child's needs.
Standards-Based Worksheets at HelpingWithMath.com
The free worksheets from HelpingWithMath.com are all based on the Common Core Standards for Mathematics. The main topics are listed in an easy-to-read bullet list at the top of the page, which helps you easily figure out if this site will meet your child's needs. The topics include proportions, linear equations, statistics and geometry (e.g., surface area and volume).
The worksheets must be printed out, but there's a 'Show Answers' button that provides the correct answer for all the problems on the worksheet. However, explanations of the problems are not provided.
Vocabulary and Spelling Help from TeAch-nology.com
At TeAch-nology.com, you can find a variety of vocabulary-based worksheets for 7th graders. There are five units, each with seven worksheets that cover cryptograms, spelling, vocabulary and word analysis skills. A word list is included with each unit, providing the words that your child will need to know to complete the work.
These worksheets can help your child learn new vocabulary words in a fun way. The cryptogram worksheets, for instance, pose a riddle and require students to unscramble a series of vocabulary words to solve it. The worksheets must be printed out, and answer keys are not included.
Science Review from Discovery Education
If your child needs extra practice in science, then check out Discovery Education, which offers free, printable worksheets in space/astronomy, earth science, biology, general science, anatomy, physical science and chemistry. These worksheets are designed by teachers and feature matching games and word scrambles. Answer keys are included.
The worksheets are not categorized by grade level, so you'll need to know in advance what's appropriate for your 7th grader. For example, if your child is currently studying the functions of organ systems, you can select the worksheet in the anatomy section that requires him or her to match each organ with its function.
