Free Multiplication Tests with Answers
Whether your child is memorizing multiplication tables in 3rd or 4th grade, or tackling more advanced topics, like multiplying fractions or decimals, there is plenty of free practice material online. The following sites offer free resources for at-home math review.
Worksheet Generator from MathFactCafé.com
You can use these online multiplication worksheets as tests at home by assigning a point value to each problem and having your son or daughter complete the worksheets in a test-taking setting. For instance, create a quiet environment and establish a time limit. Using the worksheet generator, you can select the number and type of problems. MathFactCafé.com also has pre-made math fact worksheets.
Hundreds of Free Worksheets at Math-Drills.com
At Math-Drills.com, there are hundreds of printable multiplication worksheets and you can use any of them as multiplication tests. In addition to basic 1-12 tables, this site features multi-digit multiplication problems, as well as decimal and fraction equations if your children are in more advanced grades. The worksheets are categorized based on how many numbers are being multiplied.
The sheets come in PDF format, so they cannot be completed on the computer. Answer sheets follow each worksheet, but no explanations are given. If you want to time your child, or if she needs a problem explained, that will be up to you.
Online Tests from FreeMathTest.com
If you don't want to convert worksheets into tests, your son or daughter can take free online multiplication tests from sites like FreeMathTest.com. Some pre-made, 10-question tests are available. There is also a test generator, which allows you to choose the number of problems and the lowest and highest integers that will appear. These tests must be completed online and the answers are marked instantly after the full test is submitted.
One drawback is that there is no built-in timer. If you wish to give your child timed assessments, you will need to set an alarm or stopwatch. These tests are for early learners and do not include more complicated forms of multiplication such as several-digit integers, negative numbers or fractions.
