Math-Play.com's 7th Grade Math Games

Your son or daughter can go over principles and lessons taught in 7th grade math class by playing these interactive games. Over a dozen free games review topics ranging from multiplying integers to writing algebraic expressions. Some of the games are made for an individual player; others can be played in pairs or even teams. The site makes it easy to only look at games for 7th graders, since it's divided by grade level. One possible drawback is that each game is on its own page with banner ads. Many of the ads are extremely flashy, which could distract some students from the math problems.

Online Math Games from CRCTLessons.com

Designed by a teacher, the free math games here are specifically built for 7th and 8th grade students. Many of the games are based on Jeopardy, and allow your son or daughter to choose a level of difficulty and then a category of questions. Aside from the Jeopardy games made specifically as 7th and 8th grade test prep, there are more math games that use popular themes, such as basketball and millionaire game shows, to review junior high math. Some of the topics covered in these games include square roots, factors and comparing rational numbers.

Funbrain's Online Math Games

Games available for 12-year-olds on Funbrain.com cover many 7th grade units, including completing number sentences, square roots and dividing decimals. Most of the games are designed fairly simply, which may make them a good fit for your child if he or she concentrates better without a lot of extra sounds and bright images. The games use themes like baseball and soccer, alligators, dragons and tic-tac-toe. You can also find free activities here dealing with earth science, astronomy, vocabulary and Spanish. Funbrain is a Pearson Education site, and all the activities they offer are created with the latest educational standards in mind.
