Where Can I Download and Print Math Test Sheets?

Studying and completing math tests and worksheets help to keep arithmetic skills fresh in kids' minds. The following sites offer free, printable math tests and worksheets.

Free Printable Worksheets from SoftSchools.com

You can use the worksheet generator here to create practice tests for your son or daughter. The site allows you to select the minimum and maximum numbers to appear on the sheets, as well as how many rows and columns each will have. The available types of math problems here range from addition and subtraction to improper fractions and solving for an unknown variable.

You can also find electronically scored online math quizzes, as well as practice sheets and quizzes in other subjects, including science, social studies and Spanish. It is possible to search under grade level or math topic.

Free Math Test's Quizzes and Worksheets

Free fundamental math, elementary and pre-algebra problems are available at FreeMathTest.com. To create printable tests, convert any of the free worksheets into PDF, Web page or Microsoft Word formats. The flexibility of file types is one of the strengths of this site.

Some math levels also have online games. For instance, your child can play a counting game in which colorful coins appear onscreen, and a certain monetary amount must be counted, added or subtracted. One possible drawback is that there isn't a 'home' button on every Web page, so it can sometimes be difficult to backtrack out of one worksheet to locate another.

High School Math Tests from EraserDog.com

If your kids are past middle school, you may find the free algebra, geometry and trig worksheets from Eraserdog useful. While several worksheets (which are easily made into tests) can be viewed without logging in, free registration with the site allows your son or daughter to save worksheets and customize problems. If you happen to live in California, an added bonus is the special attention this site gives to the California High School Exit Exam. Each worksheet can be made to reflect the equations on that test.
