Mr. Hand's 8th Grade Science Lessons

Mr. Hand is an 8th grade science teacher who has created a comprehensive site with lessons and resources for 8th grade science topics, including chemistry, the immune system, forces and motion, reproduction, genetics, energy and more. Each topic's page contains information about the grade level expectations and a collection of Mr. Hand's lessons. The lessons are divided into several categories. The chemistry page, for example, contains sections for expected performances, chemistry content standards, sample questions and two sections for notes and links.

The notes may be especially helpful if your 8th grader is struggling to understand a topic. These notes provide detailed explanations for topics, complete with diagrams and examples. Some of the notes can be viewed online; others are PowerPoint presentations that you can download.

For instance, the life science section is composed of subsections addressing biology, animals, zoology, plants and botany.
