Have Fun Teaching's Multiple Subject Worksheets

Here, you can find worksheets for all subjects that are appropriate for 5th and 6th graders. The reading section is divided into topics, like cause and effect, fact and opinion, note taking, reading response and story elements. The reading comprehension section is further categorized by grade level. You can choose from fiction or nonfiction excerpts, which are followed by multiple-choice or short-answer questions.

The worksheets for the other subjects, like science, social studies, math and writing, are not categorized by grade level. However, they are organized by topic, so if you know what your child is studying in school, then you can find a worksheet to coincide with the current unit. In addition, many of the writing worksheets are applicable for any age. For instance, use the comic strip template to test your child's understanding of a story or to help him write a narrative in a creative way.

Super Teacher Worksheets' Online Resources

At Super Teacher Worksheets, you can find extra practice in math, reading, grammar, science and social studies. The worksheets are categorized by topic, so if your 5th grader is learning to add fractions with unlike denominators, look in the adding and subtracting fractions section. The worksheets are often available at multiple difficulty levels, so your child can practice without becoming frustrated by problems that are too challenging or too simple.

Activities and Worksheets from abcteach

Explore subjects or search by grade level for free, printable worksheets at abcteach. There are sections for elementary school and middle school, so whether your child is in 5th or 6th grade, you can find appropriate resources. Additionally, many of the worksheets are labeled, so you'll know if a worksheet is relevant for upper elementary or middle school students. If you're looking for at-home literature activities to support your 6th grader's comprehension, try using the multiple 'First Sentence' worksheets in which students read the first sentence of a famous story and predict what the story will be about.
