Worksheets from Super Teacher Worksheets

These printable, PDF worksheets can help your child prepare for math tests. Over a dozen worksheets are available, which provide several strategies to help kids understand probability. A few of the worksheets use a spinning wheel divided into sections and ask about the probability of landing on a certain section. A few others ask similar questions about drawing a certain color marble from a sack. To make these questions more test-like, you could set a timer and give your child a limited amount of time to complete each worksheet.

Resources from Math Worksheets 4 Kids

Many of these probability worksheets should be helpful when your child is studying for a 5th grade math test. Kids can practice calculating probability by using the days of the week, a deck of cards, dice and coins. Each worksheet provides work space, so your child can show his or her work. When reviewing your child's answers, be sure to check over his calculations to identify if and where an error was made. More than a dozen printable worksheets are offered, and all of them come with answer keys. Probability worksheets for younger children are also available here.

Online Quiz from New Bedford Public Schools

This 10-question quiz will give your child a chance to complete multiple-choice probability questions. The quiz takes place online and has an internal scoring mechanism, so if you print it out you will have to score it yourself. The first eight questions are all about the likelihood of a spinner landing on something specific, either a color or a number. The last two problems are about a coin toss.

You can make this quiz more difficult by timing your child to see how long it takes to complete the ten questions. Alternately, you could have your child take this quiz before reviewing with worksheets to assess his or her skill level.
