Explanations from Basic-Mathematics.com

Here, you can find three examples of word problems that require students to divide fractions. If necessary, your child can review how to divide fractions by clicking on the blue link at the top of the page.

IXL Learning's Online Practice

This site has free, unlimited practice math problems for all units of 5th grade math, including word problems that involve dividing fractions. Just scroll down the page to find the 'fractions' heading, and the link below it for word problems. One question will appear at a time, and after you hit 'submit', another will come up. The questions will become progressively harder if your child answers a few correctly in a row.

Other types of fraction problems are also available including addition, subtraction and multiplication. You'll also find many generators for fraction division problems. Because only one question loads on the site at a time, you will need to have a continuous Internet connection in order for your child to practice here.

Worksheets from Math Teachers Assistant

Math Teachers Assistant provides a worksheet generator that allows you to create worksheets with division problems that include fractions. You can also create division word problem worksheets. These worksheets are printable and answers are provided for all questions. When creating worksheets with fraction problems, you can choose the numbers that will be used as denominators. You can also select how many equations there will be per sheet (from 4-100).

This site also offers create-your-own worksheets on many other math topics, including arithmetic, scientific notation and algebra. In addition, you can access pre-made tests here, which must be completed online. The worksheets appear with new numbers each time you press the button to create a new one, so you can make many practice exercises for your child.
