IXL Learning's Math Problems

Here's a directory of 4th grade math units, ranging from number sense to probability and statistics. Most likely, any topic covered in your child's 4th grade math textbook will be listed here.

The practice problems must be completed online and are graded instantly. Just one math problem appears at a time, so there's less of a chance that your child will feel overwhelmed than if she were presented with a full-length worksheet. After typing in an answer to the question, she can choose 'submit' or 'submit and finish,' which makes it possible to answer as few or as many math problems as she wants on each unit before moving on.

Worksheets from tlsbooks.com

A large selection of 4th grade math worksheets are offered here. All the worksheets come with answer keys. You'll find worksheets that cover reducing and comparing fractions, understanding place value, ordering integers and multiplication. The website is designed in a clean and straightforward way that makes it easy to find what you are looking for. You can review your child's math textbook to figure out which worksheets line up with which chapters. The worksheets come with answers, but not with answer explanations.

AAA Math Lessons

Your 4th grader can read these math lessons and complete the practice problems for free at AAA Math. All the topics are listed in order on the 4th grade math page, and you can reach the lessons and practice problems by clicking on the links provided. The lessons range in length and thoroughness and some topics may not have practice problems.

For many lessons, there are practice problems at the bottom of the page. Your child can enter his answers online and they are automatically corrected. At the end, you can see what percent of the answers he answered correctly. Some of the units discussed in these lessons are perimeter and circumference, metric length and consumer math.
