Pay Attention in Class

Sometimes, the lessons your teachers give will not be exciting or interesting, but it's still important to pay attention. You'll usually be given some sort of assignment covering the new information that was presented in class. In addition, many teachers will often take note of who is paying attention in class and will give daily grades based on this.

Do Your Homework

Teachers typically give you homework for several reasons, and all of them play a positive role in helping you pass. First, homework assignments are usually graded. Failing to complete them can easily bring your overall grade down. Second, homework usually allows you to review the new information you learned in class. Finally, doing your homework gives you the opportunity to practice the skills you'll need to know for future assignments and exams.

Ask Questions

You should raise your hand to ask questions when you're not comprehending the material that's being presented. If you don't ask questions, your teachers will assume that you understand what's being taught and won't know that you need help. It's also a good idea to ask questions when you're interested and want to learn more about a particular lesson or topic.

Study Often

To pass the 5th grade, you should also take the time to study frequently. Teachers will give you the information you need and assign work and projects that will help you practice the information, but they generally expect you to be responsible for your own learning. That means you have to devote some time every day to reviewing the lessons taught in class. It's easier to do this if you set up a scheduled study time. Studying on your own will help you learn the content better and perform better on your assignments and tests.
