Spelling Worksheets from Tlsbooks.com

For a wide selection of spelling worksheets and word lists for your child to complete at home, look no further than tlsbooks.com. Most of these resources are aimed at kids in grades K-6. Although you can view many of the worksheets online, if you want to print them, you'll need to have a recent version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer.

Typical worksheets from tlsbooks.com will provide your child with a list of age-appropriate spelling words, along with a number of tasks your child will need to accomplish. For example, your child may be required to alphabetize the words. In addition to this, he or she may need to use the words in sentences or define them using his or her own words.

Spelling Help from KidsSpell.com

KidsSpell.com is a strong spelling practice resource with lists, games and more. This website offers three levels of spelling games that you can choose from, based on your child's age and level. For the games, you can either choose from spelling lists provided by KidsSpell.com or create your own.

A typical mid-level game your child can play here is 'Spellify 500'. After entering the spelling list you'd like to use for the game, your child can play this unique racing game. Using the left and right arrows, your child will steer a car to gather letters in the correct order to form words from the spelling list.

TypeAndSpell's Spelling Practice

TypeAndSpell offers spelling help for students in 1st-6th grade. This site offers an audio component that allows your child to hear words out loud. After hearing the word, your child can type in his or her spelling. If your child enters the incorrect answer the first time, he or she is given a clue and can try again. You can find practice spelling words based on your child's grade level.

There are also other resources, such as a list of the 50 U.S. states and capitals. Additionally, high school students may find the SAT vocabulary practice helpful.
